A remarkable piece of British luthiery history, the Windsor "The Pyxe" Model C Mandolin is a rare and beautifully preserved example from the early 20th century. Handmade in Birmingham, this model showcases the craftsmanship of Arthur O. Windsor, one of England’s most respected early instrument makers.

The condition of this instrument is very good for it's age however it does show it's aging in stress cracking on the back and general play marks on the body. A couple of small screws are missing for the pickguard - see photos.

This instrument comes warrantied (6 months) for added peace of mind.

Inspired by the Gibson A5, the Model C features a distinctive "lump scroll" design, blending English innovation with classic American mandolin styling. Its elegant form, tonal warmth, and historical significance make it an exceptional addition for collectors, players, and vintage enthusiasts alike.
