Mode Toggle Switch: Selects any one of three overdrive/distortion modes: 1) Up position is SILICON mode which enables the classic 250 odd-harmonic-dominant sound of symmetrical anti-parallel silicon clipping diodes; 2) Mid position is LIFT mode which eliminates all diode clipping, essentially turning the 250 into a simple boost pedal which can provide clean boost at low gains and dirty boost at higher gains; 3) Down position is Ge/ASYM mode which enables the unique Germanium diode-based even-harmonic-rich sound of this asymmetrical clipping circuit topology.
