Epiphone FT-79 1964 Vintage Texan Slope Shoulder with Case

Here we have 'Beatles era' USA made Epiphone Texan from 1964/65 - a stunning and rare piece of guitar history.

This vintage slope shoulder Texan is in great condition, it plays well with a medium action but its main selling point is it's incredible tone, a rich, bright and wonderfully resonant tone. 

The top of the body's lacquer has been stripped back to the bare wood which could be done to enhance the tone of the guitar or possibly with the intention to re-lacquer it at some point. This era Texan features an adjustable bridge; there is a small crack in the bridge, near the high E string (as photographed) and the machine heads have been replaced at some point - good quality heads and fully functioning.
