PRS Special Edition DGT Mahogany David Grissom 2012 Model in Red

We are thrilled to offer a pre-owned PRS Special Edition DGT 2012 model in stunning mahogany. This guitar is in excellent condition, showcasing only very minor play wear. The frets are pristine and with no visible buckle rash on the back of the body. However, some of the hardware has developed some discolouration/patina over the past 12 years (see photos).

PRS Guitars introduced a fresh perspective on the beloved DGT (David Grissom Trem) model with the DGT Standard. This all-mahogany rendition of Grissom’s signature guitar retains many unique features, including his signature neck shape, slightly larger frets, heavier strings, tremolo capability, and specially designed DGT pickups with individual volume controls. Since its debut in 2007, Grissom’s original PRS signature model has been a favourite among PRS enthusiasts, making this special edition a highly anticipated release.

"The DGT Standard has been in the works for the last year, and I’m really excited PRS is doing a run of these guitars. My first PRS was an ‘85 all-mahogany Seafoam Green Standard, so this guitar brings everything full circle for me. All-mahogany guitars are more focused in the mids as a general rule and have a nice chime and growl as well. Paul and I agreed that doing an all-mahogany DGT was the ideal way to get a great variation on my signature model without sacrificing any of the soul and features of the original. I have to say that PRS hit it out of the park once again!"
