VPW Supafuzz Guitar Pedal
VPW Supafuzz Guitar Pedal Vintage Pedal Workshop
How does the Supafuzz circuit differ from the MkII Tonebender? The Supafuzz has a 10k resistor at Q1 connected from base to ground, not 100k as in the MkII circuit. This apparently small difference has an enormous effect on the sound of the pedal. Less gain than the MkII, with a response particularly suited to boosting the signal for use with a valve amplifier. The VPW Supafuzz incorporates a preset potentiometer that allows for adjustment of the gain level.
As with all our Germanium Fuzz pedals, the transistors are carefully selected for low noise and optimum hfe (see seperate page in ‘Features’ section for more information about our transistor selection process).
